Teams Overview¶
A Team is the top-level organizational unit in Appliku. Every resource you create -- servers, applications, databases, clusters -- belongs to a team.
How Teams Work¶
When you sign up for Appliku, a default team is created automatically. This team is tied to your account and serves as the workspace for all your resources.
Each team has:
- A name for display purposes
- A unique URL path used in dashboard navigation (e.g.,
/dashboard/team/my-team/) - Members with assigned roles
- Resources: servers, applications, databases, domains, and clusters
- Billing settings and subscription plan
- Optional cloud provider credentials for server provisioning
Team-Scoped Resources¶
All resources in Appliku are scoped to a team. This means:
- Servers added to Team A are not visible to Team B
- Applications, databases, and clusters are isolated per team
- Each team has its own billing and subscription plan
- Team members can only access resources within their team(s)
Dashboard Navigation¶
The team URL path appears in your dashboard URLs:
/dashboard/team/{team-path}/servers
/dashboard/team/{team-path}/applications
/dashboard/team/{team-path}/clusters
You can switch between teams using the team selector in the dashboard sidebar.
Creating Additional Teams¶
You can create multiple teams to separate projects, clients, or environments. Each team operates independently with its own resources, members, and billing.
Deleting a Team¶
A team Owner can delete a team from Team Settings > Delete Team. Deletion is not immediate: it is scheduled with a 24 hour recovery window so an accidental or unauthorized request can be undone.
When you confirm deletion (by typing the team name):
- The team is scheduled for deletion 24 hours in the future.
- A recovery email with a recovery link is sent to all team owners.
- A persistent warning appears in Team Settings while the deletion is pending.
After the 24 hour window passes, Appliku permanently removes the team and its applications, servers, databases, domains, clusters and members from Appliku's database. Appliku then stops managing, monitoring, updating, and showing those resources in the dashboard. This cannot be undone.
Warning
Team deletion does not shut down, stop, or destroy cloud servers, Docker containers, databases, Swarm stacks, disks, backups, DNS records, or other infrastructure outside Appliku. Your apps and data remain intact and running on your servers. Delete any cloud resources you no longer need in your cloud provider account.
Cancelling or recovering a deletion¶
- Cancel: While the deletion is pending, open Team Settings > Delete Team and click Cancel Deletion.
- Recover by email: Open the recovery link from the email at any time before the scheduled deletion.
- Support: If you did not request the deletion or need help, contact
support@appliku.com.
When deletion is blocked¶
Team deletion is blocked in these cases, and the dashboard shows the exact reason:
- The team has an active paid subscription that can still be charged (an active or trialing Paddle subscription paid through a future date). Cancel the subscription first. A subscription that has already been cancelled but is still paid through a future date does not block deletion, because it will not be charged again.
- The team is a parent team with sub-teams. Delete or move the sub-teams first; parent deletion does not cascade into sub-teams.
